I really enjoy checking the website and reading about all the things that are going on. I would like to suggest a couple of tweaks!
I don’t think the banner really depicts Penygroes, I think a few local photographs would be better.
Finally, being a blogging virgin it’s taken me a while to work out how to post a message. Could you add some basic instructions on how to register etc on the home page.

Hi Eleri,
Yes we will place some instructions but they will have to be on a separate page because they will just disappear if we leave them on the home page. As new posts appear, older ones are archived (but still accessible).
The instructions will be brief however as there is a tendancy for people to become disinterested if they are lengthy and this is the simplest type of interactive site you can have.
As far as the header image is concerned, that is something that will be remedied within the next day or two. Coincidentally, the template for this site is called ‘connections’!
I must make the point though that whilst all suggestions are welcomed, not all will be possible.

Hi Eleri,
You are welcome. I should have the instructions on how to use this site up later today.

Well I tried using the instructions to post a fresh “Post” and failed. No sign of the heading “Dashboard” to start with let alone the underlined link “Write a Post”.
I came in straight from this website - http://www.crosshandslife.co.uk/ via this shortcut - http://www.crosshandslife.co.uk/penygroescommunitynews/
Maybe someone can correct me on what I was doing wrong, would be appreciated.
I agree with Eleri on the Banner, thought I lived in a village in west Wales not in the Dartford Tunnel, London.
Unless the webmaster is trying to tell us something!!

Yes you do live in a village in West Wales Emrys:-)
As previously mentioned this is a template which, where possible, is being adapted to suit us. Local images are already being arranged for the header.
To make a post you have to be logged in.
Commenting on a post does not require this so you will not see the dashboard. As you have already registered, you will only need to enter your name and password. Once you have done this you will go straight to the Dashboard or Control Panel whichever term you prefer.
I hope this helps.
