As you are probably aware, Phil Owen finished in the post of Community Development Officer on the 31st March 2008.
I would like to thank him for the effort he has made (above and beyond what was required of him) during the year he was in this position.
Phil has not had an easy task because it is almost impossible to please everyone. I believe he has done a great deal for the improvement of the three villages and his work with the Protex development has been appreciated.
I also hope this past year has helped restore the community’s faith in this position which we have now have to continue without. A great many achievements have been made but there are others still to complete. We must all try to maintain the momentum that has pushed our village to the forefront during the last year.
I wish Phil good luck in his future role.

Thanks for the good wishes.
I’d like to thank those who supported me during the year - I wouldn’t have been able to do my job without them.
I’ll be taking on the new role as Community Councillor after 1st May, so I look forward to continue to support Penygroes Ward (unpaid this time !)
Regards,
Phil
