On a lovely June evening last Friday, Penygroes residents got together at a coffee evening in aid of Bopath.
Bopath is a charity set up to look after children with cerebral palsy. This is an incurable condition caused by brain damage before, during, or within 2 years of birth. There is no cure as the damage is irreversible, but therapy can help improve the quality of life for both the children and their families.
There are over 250 children in Wales and 31 in Carmarthenshire with the condition.
Bopath offers therapy to children from every part of Wales at no charge to families. The therapy centre relies on donations and fundraising of friends and supporters.
The evening raised over £300 for this worthy cause.
