The tubs of flowers have been installed. One was stolen, but found very quickly by the Community Police. They are adding a bit of colour around the ward, despite the bad weather.

There was a disappointing turnout for the walking treasure hunt, despite the lovely weather on the day. Only Yvonne and Howard Watkins walked the short course and no-one tried the longer course. Many said it was a good idea and some thought they might give it a go, but clearly it didn’t have enough appeal to get anyone out.
We have lots of tubs of Mountain View Ice-cream (from Capel Isaac) available at wholesale price, if anyone wants some.
If you have ideas for events you think will be popular, post them here or contact Phil Owen on 01269 841427.

I just want to say how much better the banner looks. Thanks to those who took the time to take the photographs and do the technical stuff to make the changes.

Walking Treasure Hunt - This Saturday
There’s a treasure hunt on Saturday, walking around the Rights of Way between Caerbryn & Penygroes.
It’s worth spending a couple of hours getting some fresh air and exercise in the lovely countryside around here - Penygroes Ward’s best-kept secret.
There’s a free tub of ice-cream on the way round and a cup of tea at the end.
It’s only £1 for a team (up to 4 people).
Most of the clues are straight-forward, although a couple need a bit of thinking about.
If you’re up for the longer route, the first prize is a meal for 4 at Badgers Bar & Brasserie.
There’s also a prize for the shorter route.
Come along to Caerbryn Hall between 1 and 2 p,m. Saturday.
