Report of Community Development Officer to Forum for June 2007
June has seen some success and plenty of work on a number of projects & events.
The B&Q grant came through OK and we now have 8 tubs, plus compost and summer bedding plants to spread around the Ward.  (more…)

Hello! I am Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Ciaran Ryan 8035, and I am responsible for Neighbourhood Policing issues in Penygroes. I thought I would post to introduce myself and explain a little about what my role is. I work out of Cross Hands Police Station and form part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team for the Upper Gwendraeth valley, along with my colleagues PCSO Peter Williams and PC 312 Wyn Davies. Neighbourhood Policing is the police services commitment to improving your quality of life by working together with partners, and targeting the issues that you identify as those that matter.

To achieve this I am keen to forge links with and hear the opinions of all community groups and individuals on any concerns or problems they may be experiencing in the area. You will see a lot more of me over the coming months (whether you like it or not!) on foot patrol or at local events. If you have any quality of life issues in the Penygroes area or require confidential advice please do not hesitate to get in touch with me (contact details below) or stop me while I’m on foot patrol and have a chat, that is what I am here for. Also, if you require us to attend at an event and give advice on Community Safety or just provide a presence, get in touch. I look forward to meeting you all and helping to make Penygroes a safer place to live and work.

  • I run a drop-in community surgery on the last Wednesday of every month between 5-6pm in Penygroes Memorial Hall which all are welcome to attend.
  • You can email me at ciaran.ryan@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk
  • You can contact me direct at Cross Hands on 01269-832090
  • You can ring the Dyfed-Powys 24-hour non-emergency number on 0845 330 2000 and ask to speak to Cross Hands Neighbourhood Policing Team.
