Penygroes Community Police Surgery
This is now being held at the Welfare & Memorial Hall the last Wednesday of every month. The next is on 27th June.
This is your chance to take your complaints, whatever they are (speeding cars / bikes, noise etc.), directly to them for action.
If we don’t use this facility it may be viewed that there aren’t any problems in the village and we don’t need this service!

Community Development Officers Report on May’s Activities

Report of Community Development Officer to Forum for May 2007
After the hectic first month, May has been more measured, with some new projects starting and many waiting for information or for other people to do things.
The office is up & running and, hopefully, it’s clear when I’m there & when I’m not. The phones are working and so is broadband. I’d like to upgrade some of the computers to connect to the internet and to offer people of the Ward internet access when I’m in. It would be very easy to do & I could give people a hand if they got stuck. I have had a request from one lady in the Ward who writes poetry and wants help on using computers. I’ll bring it up at the Hall Committee meeting next week. I’ve also had a request for a laptop projector for community use & I intend to get a grant application in for this.
I’ve put plans for a computer drop-in centre on hold. Since I suggested this last month, Protex have included it in their list of promises on the Emlyn site. It is really difficult planning anything structural in Penygroes at the moment !!

Technology Exhibition for the Visually Impaired
Posted by Phil under News , Events , 2007[2] Comments
An exhibition of new technology for the visually impaired was held today in Neuadd Goffa. There was a good turnout and the visitors commented on what a good venue it was - with plenty of parking space and easy access to the hall.
